Barbie was the matriarch
of our herd and if you browse through the pedigrees of much of our
homebred stock you can easily tell, our foundation doe. She showed
EXTREMELY well, GCH & BOB at the 2003 LaMancha Speciality, BDIS @ KY
State Fair Exhibitor’s show, and BUIS @ NAILE. She milked well,
12-13 lbs and even better she reproduced consistently!! She has
given us 5 daughters in three years, all sired by *B South Fork SK
Class Act. All are listed on our site, three have at least 1 GCH
leg. SGCH SL Classy Beauty 2*M, one of her three year old daughters,
has now been GCH & BUOB @ the NAILE twice show with 628 entries in
2005, repeating the feat that her mother attained in 2003, and LA’ed
91. She was 5th place 3 year old @ 2006 National Show.
SGCH SL Classy Belle 2*M, the twin to Beauty, LA’ed 90 and just
finished her 305 lactation with 3687 140 3.8% 109 3.0%! She finished
in ’06, placed 10th at the National show and teamed up
with Beauty to be the 4th place Produce of Dam for Barbie
at Nationals! Bacardi 2*M, Barbie’s two year old, was shown twice
as a junior yearling and was 2x Jr. champion, LA’ed 86 as a
precocious milking yearling and was 1st at yearling
milker @ State Fair, and had a great year always first or 2nd
and was part of the 3rd place Sr. Get of Sire at the ’06
Nationals. Yearling milker Blonde 2*M had a rough start, but got it
all together by the end of the year and was 2nd/2nd
udder at NAILE in a large class and part of our Supreme Best 3
Females in Show, which was comprised of ---Blonde, Belle, and
Beauty!! The “baby” of the group, dry yearling Brooke was Jr. GCH
several times, including KY State Fair, NAILE and was 3rd
place at Nationals!
We feel that Barbie is a
once in a lifetime doe and feel honored to have owned her. Needless
to say this is a strong doe family that we believe greatly in.
