Peggy is a beautiful, stylish, balanced, lovely uddered doe with a phenomenal pedigree that we are so thankful to have added to our herd this year!  I had admired her in the Tempo sales list for a few years and when Laurie told me that she would probably be cutting down on some of her LaManchas in 2006 I quickly spoke up for Peggy.  As a bonus we got to add her tall, dairy maternal sister Tenley to the herd as well!  Peggy spend 9 days on a trailer getting here via a hauler and when she came off we feared she was all done in the show ring, at the very least for that year. It took her about a week to get with our routine, but she did and the longer she was here the more beautiful she got and the more she milked and the more competitive she was in the shows.  She gathered a couple of 2nds right off, but looked great at Nationals and placed 14th and teamed with Tenley to be 5th place Produce of Dam. At State Fair she was 2nd in the first ring with 1st udder and Reserve Best udder of Breed to Beauty and was Reserve GCH and Reserve BU in Ring 2 to Belle!  Perhaps the best was winning the 4yr old class at the prestigious NAILE with 1st udder where she placed over several other higher placing does at Nationals that just had not held up like she had, and a member of our 1st place Dairy herd!  In 2007 Peggy had a rough pregnancy and became toxic towards the end, we induced and saved her and the triplets.  It took Peg a while to get back in shape and skipped the National show, but was back in form at State Fair where she was 1st Aged doe/1st udder and Reserve GCH, and Reserve BU to Beauty.  I was told by more than one person what a goof up I made by leaving her home from Gillette!

Her kids by Act were everything we thought they would be, Piper was 4th place Jr. kid at Nationals and Party Girl was 13th while having a feel bad day.  They were 1st and 2nd at State Fair, swapping spots under the two judges!  Their littermate brother Classic Choice is at South Fork.
