Sister is a large, capacious, dairy, milking machine!  We always knew she milked well, but didnʼt realize how well until we went on test in 2006!  If we had not cut her lactation short due to her kidding back early we feel she would have had a spot on the top ten--as it was she gave a few pounds short of 4000lbs. We had hoped to shoot for that in ʼ07, unfortunately Sister contracted pnuemonia and we nearly lost her.  We dispersed the remainder of the Saanen herd but she will always stay here.  Sister recovered completely and looks great, but was dried off to get back into condition.  Sister always shows well too, usually 1st or 2nd where ever she goes.  She always takes it all in stride, never dropping in production, not even near death.  We had a rough time getting her to go dry!  Her greatest attribute however is her ability to reproduce. Her first daughter, des Ruhigestelle Birthday Girl 7*M was 1st place yearling milker at the 2005 ADGA National show. She was then high seller in the Colorama sale for $4300!! Sisterʼs two doe kids born in 2006 were extremely showy. One received her dry leg at less than 8 weeks of age!  We took them both to Nationals where they placed 7th & 13th Intermediate kids in a large class.  One freshened in Todd Biddle's herd and he reports he is very pleased with her.

Sister was tried AI twice this year but would not cooperate so she was pen bred to Class Act for May kids.

Bred to Act--$400
